Description

Beekeeping is centuries old profession that is a surprisingly accessible hobby as well. Honeybees are necessary pollinators of some of our favorite of plants and produce highly valued products like honey. Hives in urban areas can be some of the most productive. In this 4-part on-line interactive Zoom lecture series, learn how to set up your own beehive with Dr. Dan McDevit, a professor of biology of the University of Delaware. The 4-evening interactive beekeeping sessions, which you participate in real-time, will be run live from urban hives. Note: After registration, you will receive closer to the dates Zoom meeting invitations for the lectures. Agenda and suggested reading found by clicking โ€œGet Ticketsโ€ button.
