The DSO begins its season with “CLASSICS I — MADE IN AMERICA” at Copeland Hall at The Grand Opera House. This performance celebrates the World Premiere of Pulitzer Prize and Grammy®-winning composer Jennifer Higdon’s “Cold Mountain Suite,” based on her Grammy®-nominated opera. Additional works on the program include Ives/Schuman – “Variations on America” and Dvořák: – Symphony No. 9 “from the New World”.
