Join Winterthur for art and beauty! Enjoy a monthly series celebrating Jacqueline Kennedy’s commitment to raising public appreciation for the arts. As First Lady, she had a portable stage built in the East Room of the White House for musical and dramatic performers from the worlds of poetry, opera, ballet, and literature.
Kennett Symphony Orchestra Concert, May 7
Spend Mother’s Day Weekend at Winterthur and enjoy a concert by Kennett Symphony Orchestra performing An Afternoon of a Faun by Claude Debussy and Nonet in E-flat Major by Louise Farrenc. $15; $10, Members. $10 upgrade to include house tour (reservations required).
The Wilmington Ballet, June 26
Enjoy a performance by the Wilmington Ballet of a new work set to the music of cellist Pablo Casals, who was one of the many artists invited to perform at the White House during the Kennedy presidency.
