The Choir School of Delaware invites the Greater Wilmington community to enjoy the musical blockbuster, Sister Act, in a one-night-only performance at Graced United Methodist Church on Washington Street in downtown Wilmington.
The musical features high school–aged singers and actors from the Choir School of Delaware and Serviam Girls Academy in Wilmington, who have partnered to spotlight the talents of these young artists.
All tickets are available at choirschoolofdelaware.org. No print tickets will be issued; all patron names will be held at Will Call on performance night.
Sister Act is the story of disco diva Deloris Van Cartier, who witnesses a murder and is placed in protective custody inside a convent. While disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Through her talent, Deloris inspires and breathes new life into the church choir, but in doing so, blows her cover. This feel-good comedy smash is based on the hit 1992 film of the same name, with music by Alan Menken; lyrics by Glenn Slater; book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellne, and Douglas Carter Beane.
Social distancing requirements will be in place for the production, and all audience members and singers are required to wear masks during the performance.
