In honor and celebration of Women’s History Month, The Arts of Covenant presents this special concert event featuring music of living, female composers.
Award-winning soprano Alize Rozsnyai and pianist Daniel Espie will be joined by cellist Julia Marks for a program of music by composers Melissa Dunphy, Andrea Clearfield, Jennifer Higdon, Alyssa Weinberg, Chloe Smith, and Maya Miro Johnson (a current student at The Curtis Conservatory of Music in Philadelphia.)
The centerpiece of the concert will be what we believe is a Delaware -premiere of Melissa Dunphy‘s ground breaking song cycle “Tesla’s Pigeon”.
Dr. Dunphy will be present at the concert and speak about her compositional process ahead of the performance.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Wildflower Composer (https://wildflowercomposers.org) and Philadelphia-based organization that supports inclusivity and diversity in the arts.
