Bellevue State Park



Hike the 2.5 mile Greenway Trail from our own Bellevue Hall to the nearby Rockwood Mansion. Bring snacks if you like. Dogs are allowed, as are kids! Dress for the weather. Meet at the front of Bellevue Hall.

Opening on the 215th anniversary of the duel, our exhibit picks up where Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical left off and examines how Alexander Hamilton’s and Burr’s legacies were shaped by other Founding Fathers, a wife, a daughter, historical documents, and yes, even an enormously successful, modern-day musical.

Thought-provoking and educational, Wicked Plants showcases plants associated with a myriad of health effects, including pain, addiction, obesity, allergies, cognitive impairment and even death!
Two- and three-dimensional interactives fill a Victorian-era ramshackle home, where visitors travel from room to room and learn about various poisonous plants that may be lurking in their homes and backyards. History, medicine, science, legend and lore are brought together to present a treasure trove of bloodcurdling botany that will entertain, alarm and enlighten.
