A food drive on two wheels benefitting St. Patrick’s Center!
Join Urban Bike Project for their 2nd Annual Cranksgiving! Cranksgiving is part bike ride, part food drive, part scavenger hunt. You’ll break up into teams at the start of the ride for a bit of friendly competition. Each team will be led by a staff member or volunteer on a bike ride to collect non-perishable food items from designated stores around Wilmington, scavenger hunt style! Your team, with help from your ride leader, will decide on your route. If your team creates an efficient route, the ride will likely be between 4 and 6 miles. You’ll finish your ride at Urban Bike Project’s shop, and drop off your donations together at St. Patrick’s Center.
Prizes will be awarded to the fastest team AND the slowest team! Remember – this is all about having fun and spreading holiday cheer.
Bring some sort of bag to help carry food items (backpack, pannier, etc.). Each adult team member will be asked to contribute $5 towards food donation purchases. Children capable of riding at least 4 miles at a time are welcome with supervision.
