Description

Why Didn’t Delaware Ratify the 19th Amendment?

Grab your favorite beverage and join us for a short conversation on “Why Didn’t Delaware Ratify the 19th Amendment?” led by Dr. Anne Boylan, Professor Emerita of History and Women and Gender Studies at the University of Delaware.

2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote.

At a time when many of us are physically separated, Delaware Humanities and the Lewes Public Library plan to host some “Distant Discussions” to bring us together. We will use videos, shorts stories, poems, and more to bridge the gap between us, when a sense of community and being united is especially important.
