Somerville Manning Gallery is hosting a concurrent exhibition to ‘Holly Trostle Brigham: I Wake Again’ at the Delaware Art Museum.
Philadelphia-based figurative painter Holly Trostle Brigham creates mythical allegories of contemporary historical subjects. Her work calls attention to the challenges women artists have faced through history, illuminating the legacies of strong women in the past by blending them with her own identity and personal experiences of what it is like to be a woman and an artist today.
Her works will be exhibited at the Somerville Manning Gallery from March 4 through March 26, 2022. The artist’s exhibition at the Delaware Art Museum runs from February 26 through May 29, 2022.
