Description
Somerville Manning Gallery is delighted to present the solo exhibition of paintings, “Jon Redmond: No Particular Place to Go,” from October 22 – November 13, 2021. Redmond’s still life paintings and architectural works showcase the confidence of an artist intimately familiar with his subject matter while retaining a pure enchantment with light and form.
Many of the paintings in Jon Redmond’s recent body of work, “No Particular Place to Go,” were done at home or just outside his home. Painting during the pandemic allowed Redmond to take the time to revisit or explore simple subjects that were close at hand – on the kitchen counter, in the cupboard or just a few steps outside his door. His paintings depict variations of the familiar during an introspective, uncertain, and isolated time.
The Somerville Manning Gallery Breck’s Mill showroom is temporarily closed. Please visit us at our new pop-up gallery at 5714 Kennett Pike. Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 to 5:00.
