Traditional Celtic music at its best! With fire-driven instrumentals, topical songs, haunting ballads and a good dose of humour, the variety and range of the material the Tannahill Weavers perform is matched only by their enthusiasm and lively Celtic spirits.
The band is a member of the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame, and in 2018 they released their highly acclaimed 50th Anniversary album รrach (“Golden” in Gaelic) on awardwinning label Compass Records. In 2019 they were nominated for Folk Album of the Year and Folk Band of the Year in Scotland. All of their material is traditional, but they have transformed it and brought it into the modern world, vitally alive and kicking.
